You may wonder what our process looks like if you consider investing in a garden office from London Town Cabins. In today’s blog, we’re excited to take you through each step of our process, from consultation to installation.
Book a free consultation for your garden room project
We understand that your needs and preferences are unique. That’s why we offer design consultations as the first step. It’s the best way for us to learn more about your design ideas, the location where you want your cabin installed, and any special electrical requirements. It is a free on-site or video-call consultation, whichever works best for you.
Receive a detailed quote and design sketch of your garden cabin
Following that, you will receive a detailed quote and a model of your design. This is a 3D digital prototype that will give you a visual representation of your dream cabin. Our team will be available to address any changes or questions about the design or the quote. Our goal is to ensure that you’re happy with exactly the cabin you’ll receive.
Book an installation date
At this point, you are happy with your garden room design and it is time to set up an installation date. As every one of our cabins are handmade and bespoke, it usually take us three weeks to finish or four weeks for larger garden cabin projects.
We understand that having work done on your property can be stressful, so we aim to make the installation process as easy as possible.
The installation process of your garden room
1-2 Weeks before
If necessary, we perform ground testing with our specialist team to test the soil suitability and calculate the appropriate length of helical screw piles needed. We will begin the mechanical installation of screw piles and base installation, ensuring that everything is secure and ready to go for the rest of the build.
During the first week of installation, our team will arrive, introduce themselves, and discuss the building plans with you. We’re always happy to make adjustments as we go – all part of our bespoke service.
We’ll focus on walls, cladding, doors, windows, and roofing during the second week. This is where your cabin starts to take shape.
We then move on to plastering, floor fitting, and decorating during the third week (or fourth for larger projects). This is where the interior of your cabin really starts to come together.
On the last day, we do a big tidy-up and say our goodbyes.
Your dream retreat is finally yours!
“At London Town Cabins, we are committed to providing a transparent and personalized service. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure that you’re happy with the design and that the installation process goes smoothly..”David Duval-Johnston —
